Whassabi gives you full control over the data you create on our platform. This page explains how to request the deletion of your account and the personal data we hold about you, and what happens when you do.
Account deletion is irreversible. Your contacts, conversations, templates, campaigns, and message logs will be permanently removed within 30 days. Your WABA connection is revoked immediately so we can no longer act on your behalf.
If you connected Whassabi via Meta's Embedded Signup, you can revoke our access from Meta directly. This automatically triggers a deletion request to Whassabi.
Meta will send a signed deauthorization callback to Whassabi. We will queue the deletion of all data associated with your Meta user ID and complete it within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation code that you can use to check status.
If you cannot access your account, email privacy@whassabi.com from the address associated with your account. Include your business name and, if known, the WhatsApp Business Account ID you used. We will verify your identity and confirm the deletion within 30 days.
We may retain limited records for as long as required by law (for example, tax and invoicing records, or fraud-prevention logs). Anonymized aggregate analytics that cannot be linked back to you may also be retained. Backups containing your data are overwritten on a rolling 35-day cycle.
When Meta initiates a deletion via the Business app removal flow, we return a confirmation code in the form UUID. You can verify status at https://www.whassabi.com/privacy/deletion-status?id=<your-id>. For email requests, we reply with a ticket reference you can quote in any follow-up.
